Medical and Dental Health Insurance
Loretto offers a choice of two plans for medical insurance and prescription
coverage through Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield of Central New
York. The Blue Point 2 coverage is a Point of Service Plan, (POS).
It includes full HMO coverage with an out of network benefit. The
FourFront plan uses a combination of co-payments and deductibles
to give you the maximum flexibility and control over your healthcare
at a low cost.
Flexible Spending Plans
Pretax savings account for eligible medical, dental, and prescription
expenses and dependent care. Coverage eligibility dates depend on
employee status and date of hire.
Employee Vision Plan
Loretto offers an employee vision plan that entitles the employee
to a free pair of glasses and one free eye exam every 2 years at
Empire Vision Centers. Coverage eligibility dates depend on employee
status and date of hire.
Loretto Employee 401(k) Savings Plan
401(k) plan that allows you to save up to 100% of your salary (up
to $15,000 in 2007) on a pre-tax basis. The plan, through M&T
Investment Group, offers 10 diverse mutual fund investments from
8 different fund families.
After 1 year of service Loretto provides a contribution equal to
3% of the employee’s yearly salary, with or without an employee
contribution. 100% vested immediately on the contribution. Employee
must be 21 years of age.
Life Insurance
All employees will receive a Term Life and AD&D insurance policy
at their date of hire.
Sick Time Off
Employees can accrue up to 90 days of sick time throughout their
career at Loretto. The first year employees may accrue up to 8 days.
Sick time can be carried over from year to year until they reach
the 90-day maximum.
Paid Time Off
Employees are eligible for up to 4 weeks of paid time off after
one year of employment. After completing 5 years of employment,
employees can receive up to 5 weeks of paid time off.
Holidays
Employees are eligible for 7 paid holidays per year.
Annual
Pay Increases
Increases are given after each year of satisfactory work performance
until the employee reaches the maximum rate for their job. The decision
on how salaries will be impacted is made each year and may change
from one year to the next.
Overtime Pay
Non-expempt employees are paid at one and one half times their hourly
rate for all hours worked in excess of 40.
Shift Differential
A shift differential is paid to eligible employees who work evening
and night shifts.
Tuition Reimbursement
Loretto offers educational assistance to Full Time and Part Time
employees. Full Time employees are reimbursed 90% of the tuition
cost for courses related to their career at Loretto. Loretto will
also refund 90% of book costs if a grade of ""A""
is achieved in the course. Part Time employees receive a pro-rated
benefit.
